Preflight checking validates documents against configurable profiles based on printing standards like GRACoL, FOGRA, and ISO 12647. Each profile specifies requirements for color spaces, image resolution, font embedding, and page geometry.
Bleed analysis verifies that content extends beyond the trim box by the required amount on all four edges. Objects that cross the trim boundary without sufficient bleed are flagged with visual indicators showing the shortfall.
Image resolution checking reports the effective resolution of every raster image at its placed size. Images below the profile minimum (typically 300 DPI for print) are listed with their page number, position, and actual resolution.
Spot color verification ensures that all named colors in the document match the printer's ink inventory. Undefined spot colors are flagged, and the tool can automatically convert them to their closest CMYK equivalent.
